Fan-Favorite Flavors Return!
Two fan-favorite ciders are BACK this weekend at Sierra Cider! 🍎🐝 If you’re looking for fun things to do near Yosemite, planning a Yosemite day trip, or spending the weekend in Mariposa, come out to the orchard for a glass of cider and some fresh-picked apples.
🐝 Bee Sting is our cider/mead hybrid, co-fermented with apple blossom honey made by the very bees that pollinate our orchard. The result is a unique, floral, honey-forward cider that’s become a favorite among our regulars.
🪱 Gummy Worm is… exactly what it sounds like! We take some of our most tart cider and infuse it with blueberry and raspberry purees to create a cider that tastes remarkably like a sour gummy worm. Fruity, tart, sweet, and seriously fun.
And we’re continuing U-Pick apples this weekend! Come explore the orchard and pick your own Sweet Sixteen and Jonathan apples. U-Pick is a great family-friendly activity near Yosemite and an easy stop when exploring Mariposa County.
🍏 U-Pick apples: $3/pound

Whether you’re looking for things to do in Mariposa, a fun stop after visiting Yosemite National Park, or a relaxed weekend activity in the Sierra foothills, we’d love to see you!
Come sip some cider, pick some apples, and enjoy a weekend in the orchard. 🍎
Design Your Own Apple Juice Label at Sierra Cider
Looking for fun things to do near Yosemite this weekend? Make a stop in Mariposa, California and spend the day at Sierra Cider for our Design Your Own Apple Juice Label event this Saturday, August 22.
We’ll have our glass swing-top bottles filled with fresh-pressed apple juice, with a blank label ready for kids (or adults!) to decorate. Draw a picture, write your name, or create your own masterpiece, then take home a personalized bottle of fresh apple juice. Bottles are $15 each, or $20 for a bottle of hard cider for the grown-ups.
We’ll also be putting our cider press to work with a live cider pressing during the day. It’s a chance to see how fresh-picked Mariposa apples go from the orchard to the bottle and experience a little of what makes the Sierra foothills such a special place for apples and cider.
If you’re looking for apple picking near Yosemite or family-friendly activities in Mariposa, our orchard will also have three apple varieties available for U-pick: Honeycrisp, Sweet Sixteen, and Jonathan. Pick your own apples, explore the orchard, watch the cider pressing, and make a custom bottle of juice to take home.
Sierra Cider is a great stop for visitors looking for things to do in Mariposa, especially if you’re spending the weekend exploring Yosemite National Park, driving through the Sierra foothills, or looking for a relaxing family activity outside the park. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, come slow down among the apple trees with fresh juice, local hard cider, and a little hands-on orchard fun.
Come make a day of it in Mariposa this Saturday—and make your own bottle while you’re here!

This weekend also marks the official debut of our newest limited-release hard cider: Bear Candy.
Crafted from a blend of Kingston Black apples and Kerr Crab apples, Bear Candy brings together two remarkable cider apples to create something truly special. Kingston Black contributes its rich tannins, complex body, and classic bittersweet character, while Kerr Crab apples add vibrant aromatics and a naturally bright sweetness. The result is a cider that's delightfully sweet without becoming cloying, balanced by a firm tannic backbone that keeps every sip crisp, refreshing, and incredibly drinkable.
